[Incubation] Welcome to the "Incubation" mailing list

This is a first draft, or it is the last gasp of a dying man.

I'm listing to Ram Ram Kino's demos (most of which features unreleased songs)
as I write this, thanks dcoops for surfacing these, and for suggesting a way
out.

I decided to submerge the last mailing list. Was it a hissy fit done in the
same spiteful spirit one would drown a kitten? Or was it a mercy killing?
I still don't know.

Many of you on there have made it here. Some of you...haven't...you wouldn't
be reading this otherwise, so it doesn't matter, does it?

In any event, I wanted to preserve the core group and respond to the wishes
of all of you for maintaining an open channel. However, this will operate
somewhat differently. This is not Fight Club, but intrepretive dance. If
you have any secrets to reveal, this isn't a confessional. While I won't
go out of my way to plaster the existence of this list on every virtual
billboard, its won't be kept a secret.

New members are welcome to join, existing members are welcome to leave. You
have the freedom to fuck off, as one Anthony Howard Wilsom put it. Anything
the list members want to discuss will be on-topic, though I suspect most of
it will still be music-focused, since obviously we have a bunch of music
fans here.

There will be no Bittorent tracker or private archives. I'm quite done with
that sort of thing. Everything I share here will be widely available. There
will be some things from the last go-around that will appear in due course, but
the last thing I'm interested in is wholesale reposting/reseeding/regurgitation.

Shitheads will be shown the door, in the same manner a boorish guest who's
had quite too much of apple cider would.

Don't worry, I still have some analysis left in me. But I want to also pursue
a more intuitive, less clinical, approach.

Yours,

Sam
